About our school:

Atalaya is a small elementary school nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Atalaya provides a strong academic foundation designed to instill the love of learning in students. Cross-curricular units, a wide range of social skill programs, a strong science strand (Laser i3 Program), band, music, art and performance, and a "family feel" create a nurturing learning environment. We have strong partnerships with our local neighbors at Santa Fe Prep and St. John's College that support our students with tutoring and mentorship. Atalaya balances requisite curriculum with enrichment opportunities including Santa Fe's Youth Symphony Viola Program, National Dance Institute (NDI), and various other arts activities. Atalaya's new campus opened in 2014 and offers world-class facilites, including state-of-the-art computers, a beautiful library, digital whiteboard technology in all classrooms, and a gymnasium equipped for basketball and community events.
